Sky Deutschland and Vodafone Germany agree on cooperation
- All Sky packages available via the Vodafone IPTV platform as of August
- Sky Welt channels, including Sky Sport News HD
- All live matches of the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga in the Sky Fußball
- Live matches of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and
the DFB-Pokal, as well as further exclusive sports coverage in the Sky Sport
- All top blockbuster movies in the Sky Film package
- Selected Premium HD channels, including Sky Atlantic HD, round up the
program offering at launch, with further expansion including the complete
Sky Welt HD and Sky Premium HD channels line-up soon after
- Joint marketing activities in the course of the year
Unterföhring, 27 June 2013 – Vodafone IPTV customers have every reason to celebrate
as Sky Deutschland has reached a comprehensive distribution agreement with Vodafone
Germany. From August all Sky packages will be available on the Vodafone IPTV
Starting with top series, drama, comedy, documentaries, and kids programs – many
first and exclusive to Sky, and of course including Sky Sport News HD – customers will
have the best choice of entertainment from Germany, the US and around the world
through the Sky Welt package.
And just in time for the new season, sports fans will be able to follow their favourite
teams in the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga with the Sky Fußball Bundesliga package,
as well as all major matches of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League
and the DFB-Pokal, and even more great live sports coverage, including Formula 1 and
the Golf and Tennis majors, all in the Sky Sport package.
But it’s not just sports fans that will get their money’s worth: The Sky Film package
shows current top blockbusters - 12 months before anywhere else, uncut and commercial
free - as well as movie classics and award winning U.S. series, including Sky
Atlantic HD, the home of HBO.
To round up the initial offer a selection of Premium HD channels from the various
packages will be available. The full line-up of Sky Welt HD and Sky Premium HD
channels will follow soon after.
Via the mobile Vodafone TV service fans will also be able to watch all Bundesliga
matches live and on the go with their smartphones or tablet devices.

The agreement between the two companies is a multi-year cooperation and includes
extensive joint marketing activities for Sky products. It will be possible to book Sky
packages in all Vodafone shops and online at standard prices.
